Nuno Espírito Santo is set to leave Wolves at the end of the season, offering Tottenham an opportunity to appoint him as their next manager.

Since the news of his availability broke, opinion about whether he’s the right fit, worthy of the managerial role, is divided. Like most key decisions at Tottenham, the opinion from pundits and supporters is split down the middle. A portion of Spurs land believe Nuno is the best man for the job, while others feel his CV, which is completely devoid of team silverware, should prevent him from landing the position.

HQ yesterday covered reasons Nuno should not be appointed as next Spurs manager. As a contrarian, and because I’m a proponent of the Portuguese gaffer’s style, here are the three reasons Tottenham should hire him to take the club forward.

The Athletic published a story about Nuno’s departure from Wolves, saying he was on the verge of being canned in January as players started to question his approach. While an important piece of news, it shouldn’t deter Tottenham from seriously considering him as a leading candidate.
