Three reasons Tottenham is likely to pass on Graham Potter as manager
By Aaron Coe
Potter struggles against the big six
In 26 matches against the traditional big six, Graham Potter averages just .80 points per match. With only six wins in 26 matches, his 23% win percentage against the big six does not instill a lot of confidence. Even worse, if you take Tottenham out, the win total goes down to just four in 22 matches.
Graham Potter has had some success against Arsenal winning three times over the Gunners against two defeats. However, in nine matches against the two Manchester clubs, Potter has never taken a single point, losing all nine matches. Brighton did beat Liverpool this season and has managed to draw with Chelsea twice since Potter took over but that is really it.
With a 6-3-17 record in 26 games, you will have to forgive me if I am not beating the drum for Potter to take over. Add in being winless in four matches against Wolverhampton (0-3-1) and winless in five matches against Leicester City (0-1-4) the records against the better competition are simply not there.
Maybe the most damning thing about the idea of Potter taking over for Tottenham is the trait his teams share with Tottenham.
