Tottenham Hotspur Projected XI to face City in the League Cup Final
By Aaron Coe
Full Line-up and Substitutes
Ryan Mason will be doing something in two matches that his two predecessors really never did, which is to use the same team in back-to-back games. One thing this team has not had any of this season is consistency, a cup final might be the right time to find some. This does not mean the team will be entirely shaped the same or play the same but the people will be the same.
Available when called upon
The Tottenham bench will be headlined by Harry Kane. While some may believe Kane should start, having him in reserve – ideally for the entire match – is the right decision, if there is one. Besides Harry Kane, the rest of the bench is mostly attackers and midfielders, with Steven Bergwijn, Erik Lamela, and Harry Winks all joining Kane on the bench. Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko round out the midfielders available and then Joe Hart, Davinson Sanchez, and Japhet Tanganga get the call.
We have Carlos Vinicius out of our line-up as Harry Kane is the backup making Vinicius redundant. If Kane cannot go, then Vinicius clearly is in the team but we are assuming Kane finds a way. We have Tanganga over Vinicius if Kane is available and on the bench to provide a bit more defensive cover.
