Midfield

Spurs’ midfield pretty much picks itself at the moment. Gareth Bale and Dele Alli are once again out of favour in North London. Pierrer Hojberg and Tanguy Ndombele are permanent fixtures in the more defensive central roles, while Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura should start in their familiar attacking positions.

Erik Lamela is another option for Jose, but this particular match is tailor-fitted for Lucas’ speed and directness on the counter.

Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and even Steven Bergwijn are very much fringe figures in Jose’s current setup. The former two have only played bit-part roles for some time now, while Bergwijn joined the fringe club more recently.
