Midfield

Giovanni Lo Celso 7/10

It’s so exciting to have the Argentinian back in the team. Giovanni’s tireless work rate is matched by his technical ability. He’s thrifty in possession and rarely puts his team in precarious positions. And like any Jose favourite, he tracks back and asserts himself with countless tackles. He also fed Kane for the Englishman’s opener.

Pierre Hojberg 7/10

Rarely brilliant, Pierre Hojberg has a knack for quietly going about his business in the centre of the park. He’s reliable, strong and committed. Other than Harry Kane, no Tottenham player applies himself as consistently. He also fed Tanguy Ndombele with a smart, crisp pass that eventually led to Kane’s opener.

Tanguy Ndombele 7/10

Was energetic going forward throughout. Tanguy assisted on Kane’s second and controlled the midfield quite well. Was let down by his rearguard.

Lucas Moura 5/10

Showed a few glimpses but was otherwise ineffective.
