Dinamo is Still the On-Form Side

Despite losing to Tottenham last week in London, Dinamo is still the more on-form of the two teams. While both teams have technically won four out of their last five matches in all competitions, it is Dinamo who is coming off the win and Tottenham a terrible loss.

Dinamo continues to dominate in the Croatian league. Following the disappointing loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Dinamo took their displeasure out on NK Varazdin. The Croatian leaders had their way on the road with Varazdin winning 0-5. Zagreb has 12 goals for with only the two Harry Kane goals against in their last five matches. The point is, at home, coming off a big win, Dinamo is the form team brimming with confidence.

Brimming with confidence is not exactly how one might describe Tottenham Hotspur right now. While the Spurs did win last week in Europa League and technically have won four out of five in all competitions. The Lilywhites have still lost four of their last ten matches as well, meaning they can be beaten at any time.

After the big midweek win in Europa League, the Lilywhites played a less talented but more determined Arsenal and paid the price for their lackadaisical display. Given the importance of the Gunners game in the standings and in terms of their rivalry and the fact Spurs were completely flat, we can only hope the real Tottenham Hotspur show up in Croatia. The good news for Tottenham is they typically do play well against lesser competition, so hopefully, that means Thursday too.
