Tottenham Starting Midfield

With Pierre-Emile Højbjerg out and after having a decent run out last week at home in London, it makes sense that Mourinho runs with the same duo of Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks. Those two are then trying to link up with a familiar name in a familiar role.

Dele Alli – Center Attacking Midfield

In the perfect world, Giovani Lo Celso would be getting some minutes here but it seems like the Argentine is not available. This is not slight on Dele, just the fact that the team needs to continue to grow its depth, especially if Son is going to be out for any period. Dele has played more over the last few weeks and like most players on the team has been up and down. The players that find the consistency will play the rest of the way, Dele gets one more chance to prove he can be one of those consistent players.

Moussa Sissoko – Center Defensive Midfield

Moussa Sissoko came in against Arsenal and really did not do anything to take note of in his time on the pitch. Of course, Sissoko was not alone in this regard although his overall impact has waned prior to his cameo against the Gunners.  Given that the position even wears 25-year-old Højbjerg down, it is no wonder that Sissoko has shown some age of late. That said against a team like Dinamo, Sissoko can do a job, and Thursday that is what he will need to do.

Harry Winks – Center Defensive Midfield

Harry Winks played solidly last week against Dinamo and we can expect more of the same from him this week. Almost always tidy, when Winks is forward-thinking and fast in his play he can be very effective. Someone who has struggled at times with his touch this season, and it has cost him dearly. Clearly has a role to play in the squad as his range of passing is something few other midfielders possess and against a team like Dinamo his limitations are less of an issue.
