Defence

Hugo Lloris 7/10

Kept a clean sheet but, like Sanchez, could have enjoyed his favourite glass of red vino and not worried about the repercussions.

Serge Aurier 8/10

Started the match brightly, seemingly unaffected by his injury hiatus. The Ivorian marauded down the byline in an extremely bright start, playing three teasing crosses in the first 20 minutes. He was also on the front foot defensively, making a couple of assertive, ball-winning challenges. His crosses were incredibly dangerous all evening.

Davinson Sanchez 6/10

Largely untested throughout, Davinson enjoyed a comfortable outing. He could have had a margarita in hand, such was the profound easiness of the task. The Colombian was tenacious in the tackle, making Dinamo aware of his presence.

Ben Davies 6.5/10

The Welshman, other than a near calamitous giveaway, played quite well. He passed crisply enough and facilitated an option down the left wing, combining well with Sonny. Though I cannot get his poor pass out of my head. He was lucky Dinamo missed the excellent counter attacking opportunity. However, the Welshman made up for that mistake with a wonderful clearance at the back post, saving Spurs’ blushes.

Eric Dier 5.5/10

A great long ball to Dele at at the start of the match was negated by a poor one just before the interval. Took an unnecessary yellow card in injury time, diving in recklessly from behind.
