Kane Dominates Ratings and Palace in Tottenham Win in BPL
By Aaron Coe
Tottenham Attack Ratings
Tottenham was back in the goals on Sunday as they managed to score four on Palace and probably should have had more. The interchange between Son, Kane, and Bale along the front line is working and Lucas Moura did his part pestering Palace on the ball.
Lucas Moura – 7
Lucas Moura’s contributions on Sunday mostly came on the defensive end. The Brazilian managed five successful tackles against Palace, including one on Kouyate that led to Spurs opener. The consistent pressure Moura applied defensively as well as the willingness to run past Kane as the talisman dropped deep created space for others on the pitch. Not great on the dribble, but Spurs did not need him to be on the day.
Heung-Min Son – 7.5
Heung-Min Son is still having some issues in front of the net but did get in the book with an assist to Harry Kane. The assist was the record-breaker for the pair in terms of connecting for Premier League goals in a season. Son had the first big chance of the game and will have wanted to do more with his header that was straight at Guaita. Was a consistent outlet on the left and combined well with Sergio Reguilón.
Harry Kane – 10
Harry Kane was flat-out phenomenal for Tottenham on Sunday. His instincts to get the ball and then drive at the near post on the first goal made the tap-in inevitable for Gareth Bale. Kane spent much of the game dropping deeper when the Spurs were in possession playing more of a false nine. Yet, whenever Tottenham was crossing the ball there he was in the box. Was unselfish to head back centrally for Bale’s second. Kane was just awesome!

Gareth Bale – 9
It is hard to say Gareth Bale was Robin to Harry Kane’s Batman, more like Bale was Ironman and it was a crossover event. Gareth Bale is growing more confident with each outing and is clearly enjoying his football. Was working hard to get into the box and convert on both goals, which were poacher’s goals, a far cry from the screamers we are used to. Bale also did his part defensively, at one point stealing the ball from Eze on the edge of the box. Loves his crossfield pass, which helps stretch the field and give Spurs room. Bale changes the Tottenham dynamic and this loan is suddenly really starting to work.
