What it will take for Tottenham to extend Gareth Bale loan

It would be foolish for Levy, If Bale continues on his current trajectory, not to extend the Welshman’s loan. Bale, who has endured a litany of debilitating ailments, has surely (fingers crossed) come through the worst of his fitness woes. Working tirelessly to reach the fitness level needed to thrive in the Premier League, Bale appears to have turned it around. There are, of course, no guarantees, especially for an injury prone, aging midfielder whose reliance on speed and agility cannot be ignored.

It is still too early to tell if Gareth can sustain a level reminiscent of his first stint at Tottenham. But he will be just fine if the innumerable upbeat wishes and resounding optimism from Spurs supporters have anything to do with his continued success. Everyone in Spurs land — and the Spanish capital for that matter — are pulling for Bale to thrive in north London.

If he can prove the naysayers wrong and continue to produce, it will be a mutually beneficial scenario for both Spurs and Real Madrid, the latter of whom wanting nothing more than to offload a portion of his exorbitant £600 000 weekly salary.

And wouldn’t it be nice to see Bale consistently dominate again, thereby keeping Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane happy and in the capital, all of which consolidating Tottenham’s chances of finally winning that elusive Premier League crown.
