Forwards and Subs

Harry Kane 6/10

Missed a sitter from close range but looked dangerous in the first half. He sprayed the ball to Son at will. A few superb passes including a brilliant lobbed through ball to Dele, who couldn’t quite get the all-important initial touch. Also missed a chance late in the second half, more so because of an excellent Alphonse Areola save.

Dele Alli 6/10

He was slightly fortuitous to control Bale’s laser pass and also got a kind deflection for the goal, but threatened for periods of the first stanza. He also provided a great cross to Son at the back post, who should have done better. A needless foul from Dele early in the first half put Spurs under pressure, with Lloris bailing him out with an athletic jumping save. Dele disappeared in the second half, which rendered a display of highs and lows.

Subs

Lucas Moura 7/10

Lucas tracked back well and made a pretty good account of himself in a limited time on the pitch.

Moussa Sissoko 6/10

Sissoko helped secure Spurs’ away win. He didn’t step a foot wrong, but wasn’t extremely effective either.

Erik Lamela 8/10

So silky smooth in possession and works tirelessly without the ball. A lot to like about his cameo appearance. His slick pass for Kane could have put the match to bed, but Kane was saved well by Alphonse Areola.
