Tottenham Starting Attack

Tottenham finally gave us the three main attackers we have been longing for and they certainly did not disappoint. Son Heung-Min had two assists, Harry Kane had a goal, and Gareth Bale had two goals and an assist in the demolition of Burnley. The free-flowing nature of the three players who all took turns dropping deep and pushing up the pitch made for some very attractive and open attacking football. With that in mind, expect the three to continue to start.

Heung-Min Son – Left Wing

Son Heung-Min seems like he is on the verge of exploding for Tottenham again. Unplayable early in the season, the South Korean superstar fell back to earth hard. However, over the last several matches Son’s trademark smile and swerve have been coming back. His two assists on the weekend are something for him to build on in this match.

Harry Kane – Striker

Harry Kane scored Spurs second versus Burnley as Kane did his best Son impression. Running the same left channel Son has been so effective in for Tottenham this season, Harry Kane did a magnificent job of controlling and then finishing a nice long ball. Can showing a bit of pace and timing to get over the top only further enhances his game and adds another facet for teams to deal with as his right-wing drops deep.

Gareth Bale – Right Wing

Gareth Bale seems to be back in a big, big way. Over the last week or so Bale has looked like the best player on the pitch every time he has been on it. Considering Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and Heung-Min Son is a multiple Asian Footballer of the Year winner that is really saying something. Such is the impact that Gareth Bale is capable of making on a football match. His first goal showed that poachers instinct and his second against Burnley was another incredible strike. As long as he can play and plays like this, Mourinho simply has to play Bale.
