Midfield

Pierre Hojberg — Central Defensive Midfield

The Dane will certainly take his spot back in the heart of midfield. Rested against Wolfsberger, Hojberg will be raring to go, ready to physically dominate and tenaciously interrupt West Ham’s offensive forays.

Tanguy Ndombele — Central Defensive Midfield

Tanguy Ndombele was also rested for a large chunk of the midweek win. He should line up beside Hojberg in defensive midfield. Watch for Ndombele to drive forward and spearhead Spurs’ offence while Hojberg covers and, as always, protects the backline.

Steven Bergwijn — Right Attacking Midfield

The Dutchman came in as a sub on Thursday and looked pretty good in his cameo. Gareth Bale played his best game of the season and might nip in to start in Bergwijn’s stead, though I doubt it. Even though he usually contributes in other areas of the pitch, Steven needs to start adding goals to his repertoire. If not, he may soon find himself falling down the pecking. Lucas Moura is another strong possibility for Jose after playing brilliantly on Thursday.

Son Heung-Min — Left Attacking Midfield

Probably the second player on Jose’s team sheet, Son Heung-Min, who scored on Thursday, will feel rejuvenated after only playing 45 minutes in Budapest. Son, along with his otherworldly talent, is a workhorse and can run unremittingly. Although even Son isn’t immune to the rigours of the Premier League.
