Forwards and Subs

Dele Alli 7.5/10

Dele enjoyed an impressive outing. It was great to see him back in menacing, threatening form. He almost scored a highlight-reel goal, nearly doing the double nutmeg. Unfortunately his shot nicked off the inside of Alexander Kofler’s leg before fizzing just wide of the goal. He would have received a higher mark had he not been a bit wasteful in front of goal, especially in the second half. But overall, I’m incredibly happy to see Dele play the way he always should.

Son Heung-Min 8/10

Son was back to his usual elevated performance. He scored a brilliant downward header thanks to a delightful Bale cross, and caused all sorts of issues in an abbreviated display.

Erik Lamela 7/10

Enjoyed another strong cameo. His work rate and commitment impresses most. He consistently shows his desire for the badge.

Steven Bergwijn 6.5/10

Bergwijn was involved a lot after coming on, but still has issues in front of goal. Otherwise a decent cameo.

Carlos Vnicius 7.5/10

Vinicius scored the all-important fourth goal, giving Spurs more breathing room for the return leg. He scored on a deft touch and managed to stay onside. Vinicius is a predator from close range, seemingly alway Johnny on the spot.
