Preview of Tottenham vs West Bromwich Albion on Sunday

Baggies Team News
While the team form has been tough for West Brom, there is no doubting the club’s intent to go for it and try and avoid relegation. Whereas Tottenham added no players at the deadline, West Brom have been incredibly active adding six new players over the winter window. From Andy Londergan as a reserve keeper who was without a club to Mbaye Diagne the striker from Galatasaray in Turkey, Baggies searched far and wide for more players to give Big Sam Allardyce the ammunition to make a run.
The two biggest names West Brom landed were probably Ainsley Maitland-Niles – the Kyle Walker-Peters of Arsenal and Robert Snodgrass signed from West Ham. The best news about all this for Tottenham is most of the players were signed within the last week and have not had a ton of time to settle with the team. On the other hand they have had a week and players like Maitland-Niles and Snodgrass should be fresh and we saw what that did for Jesse Lingard at West Ham.
The point is, Tottenham are facing a team with a lot of fresh legs and faces who want to prove something individually and as a team. Spurs need to be prepared.
Spurs Team News
The big news for Tottenham continues to be the players that are not available. With Harry Kane and Sergio Reguilón both out, two of the biggest contributors from the last win are out of the picture. Add in Dele Alli not being yet back and Giovani Lo Celso still out and Tottenham are certainly short.
That said, Carlos Vinicius has twice as much Premier League experience as he did heading into midweek and a few players that maybe should not be playing maybe have finally proven that and will sit out. Tottenham need a win in a big way, to stop the slide from losing three straight and to prove once again the team is more than Harry Kane.
