Tottenham’s best starting 11 for West Brom match

Tottenham’s midfield and defence
Other than Son and Hugo Lloris, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is the only other guaranteed starter in Mourinho’s starting team. He is the one stable force in the current side, reliably protecting the back four every week.
Erik Lamela, who made a cameo against Chelsea, deserves his place in the starting side. He showed a desire lacking from the rest of the team upon his entry on Thursday. Playing in front of Hojberg should allow him to pull the strings from midfield. There is no need to have another defensive player like Moussa Sissoko or Harry Winks against a side reeling at the bottom of the table, especially at home.
Both Serge Aurier and Eric Dier have to lose their places. Both players have consistently committed howlers in recent matches, costing their side dearly. Neither player deserves a place in the starting 11. While it’s always slightly risky playing Davinson Sanchez, he is the lesser of two evils.
Joe Rodon could take Davinson’s place, particularly against a side struggling to garner much of a formidable threat going forward.
Gareth Bale is far off the pace, while Lucas Moura is another option on the bench for Jose. Harry Kane, Giovanni Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilón are all unavailable, but the former will return imminently.
