Tottenham Front Three

While not really a front three, as Spurs reverted back to the 4-2-3-1 we know with the 1 dropping deeper and the two wings pushing up, it really is supposed to be a three man front line. Given Wycombe do not have quite the threat going forward as say a Manchester City, Spurs should be able to commit all three attackers to offense and be okay.

Lucas Moura (LW)

Lucas Moura is back in the starting line-up on the left side. Some of this is so Moura can track back and provide some assistance to Ben Davies when needed. However, more likely, expect to see Moura looking to get the ball, turn and attack on the dribble. This is the kind of game where a player with Moura’s pace on the ball is going to cause the Wanders problems. Spurs need the Brazilian to get going, Monday is a good chance.

Carlos Vinicius (ST)

Carlos Vinicius had a hat-trick in his last FA Cup start. While expecting another three goals may be a bit much, the reality is Vinicius should have his way with the Wycombe defense. His size, power, and movement should cause problems for Wycombe. Add in the pace around him and expect Vinicius to find some space in the box to score a goal or two and add an assist. Spurs need the striker to keep scoring to make giving Kane a break easier, Monday Carlos can show he is ready.

Gareth Bale (RW)

Maybe this is more wishful than anything at this point, but we would really like to see Gareth Bale start on the right wing. Bale is running out of opportunities to prove himself from the off, as Mourinho is not going to start someone in the league who cannot play at least an hour. While all reports indicate Bale has been great in the dressing room, Spurs need some of that great on the pitch. Bale does not need to carry the team ala 2011, but he does need to be a factor, Wycombe is the latest chance to show he can be.
