Heung-Min Son – 6

Heung-Min Son was for Tottenham against Fulham what Steven Bergwijn was against Liverpool, the one who had the most chances and the most misses. Like Bergwijn against LIverpool, Son too hit the post and had a couple other efforts go off target and two excellent chances saved. A disappointing day as Son could not get any of four chances to go in.

Harry Kane – 7

Harry Kane only had two real looks at goal on the day and both were headers. The first he hammered home on a diving header. The second he could not quite get redirected on frame off a Serge Aurier cross from the right. Kane created a couple moves dropping deeper and had a couple decent defensive plays. Harry struggled with his passing, completing the worst percentage of anyone on the team at only 54%.

Moussa Sissoko – 6

Moussa Sissoko was the right-wing opposite Heung-Min Son, however, with the exception of a big run near the start of the second half, it was hard to tell that was Sissoko’s position. Ultimately, it was Serge Aurier who was getting consistently behind the defense on the right as Sissoko kept pinching in. Moved inside later, but never really looked comfortable defensively the entire game.

Tanguy Ndombele – 8

If this were a hockey game and Tottenham had won, Tanguy Ndombele would have been the second star of the match behind Sergio Reguilón. Ndombele was not perfect, he lost the ball on the dribble a few times and had a couple rough touches. However, Tanguy was really good and was the source of much of what was good for Tottenham. Led the team in tackles and dribbles and should have had an assist from Son. Consistently put people in behind Fulham’s defense.

Harry Winks – 6.5

Harry Winks had a relatively forgettable match for Spurs. Winks did nothing that stood out offensively or defensively. He did have a decent volley that was blocked in the first half and then tried for placement with a long side-footed volley from distance that was saved. Winks had several interceptions but was unable to take advantage.

Pierre Højbjerg – 6

The big Danish midfielder had one really big moment in the match when he played the long diagonal ball that got Reguilón behind the defense to assist on Spurs goal. Højbjerg’s biggest impact outside that one pass was probably his four fouls, all of which put Tottenham under additional pressure and let Fulham push further up the pitch. The lack of range of passing and inability to really contribute offensively came to the fore in this match and it hurt Spurs.

Sergio Reguilón – 8

Sergio Reguilón played about as well as he has all season for Tottenham. Contributing on both ends of the pitch and his aggressiveness on the dribble with the ball, clearly caused problems for Fulham. A good match from the Spaniard who was unlucky not to get his first with Tottenham.

Eric Dier – 6

Eric Dier took a bit of a knock early on in the match and it seemed to bother him at times throughout the match. Never known for his speed, Dier struggled to keep up with the legs of the Fulham attack. Eric had a couple interceptions and three clearances, but not one successful tackle. Took the chance on a free kick opportunity and hit the wall. Saw the cross for the tying goal go just over his head.

Davinson Sanchez – 7

Davinson Sanchez seemed to be playing almost three positions at times for Tottenham against Fulham. Serge Aurier was far up the pitch for much fo the match leaving Sanchez in a lot of space on the right for much of the game. Add in Dier being hobbled from his knock and Sanchez had his hands full. Sanchez led the team in tackles and clearances and had one big block. Could not get over to block the cross for the tying goal, but as covering a ton of ground in the process.

Serge Aurier – 7

Serge Aurier had a tale of two matches, the one he played offensively where he was a major force and the one he played defensively, where he left Spurs in a lurch again and again. While not completely Aurier’s fault given the formation and need for Aurier to push forward, however, Aurier and Sissoko together on the right was a disaster defensively. Offensively, Aurier was solid, getting behind the defense consistently and knocking in crosses. He, like the team was unlucky that a goal did not result.
