Tottenham Hotspur Projected XI for Wolverhampton in the Premier League
By Aaron Coe
Tottenham Bench and Full XI
After making some mistakes with his first nine-man bench, José Mourinho is unlikely to have the same issue twice. This means Spurs will have a back-up #10, maybe even two of them, depending on where Dele Alli really stands at this point with the coach.
Likewise, there are several defenders on the bench as José is going to want to hold the lead late, assuming Spurs have it. If they do not have the lead, well that is what the Erik Lamela’s and Carlos Vinicius’ are for, helping Spurs reclaim the lead late.
So defensively we have Joe Hart to back-up Lloris, along with Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, and Matt Doherty to provide cover across the backline. It is those three as Dier has the day off. Harry Winks retains a spot on the bench after his performance midweek, although we would like to see him swapped with Sissoko in the XI.
Finally, there is creativity, verve, and attitude in the attack available on Spurs bench, as Erik Lamela joins Brazilians Lucas Moura, and Carlos Vinicius on the pine. Finally, the ninth man is Dele Alli, who may or may not get a chance, as Lamela may be the preferred attacking midfielder from the bench.
So, we have a full 20, the XI plus nine; who are you taking to start and for the pine?
