Tottenham Starting Attack

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to play some possession and work to find spaces between the Wolves back three. Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son will of course be leading the line together, the question is as always, who the third member of the front three will be. Gareth Bale got the call midweek versus Stoke but there are some questions about his fitness. We can presume it is not Lo Celso like last week against Leicester given his own knock. This means we are back to the hard-working Steven Bergwijn.

Steven Bergwijn (RW)

Steven Bergwijn has not been the offensive force most fans and likely the coaching staff was hoping for, yet this season. I say yet, because Bergwijn is starting to find himself in the places he needs to be in to come through for Spurs. While it is tough to take the silver lining from Stevie’s two misses at Liverpool, he was in behind the defense and in on Alisson. Additionally, with the post shot, it was really just bad luck, not a form thing. All that said, Bergwijn needs to produce and with questions about the health of Bale and Lo Celso, now would be the time to solidify his hold on the position opposite Son.

Harry Kane (ST)

After leading the line against Stoke, there is absolutely no reason to think Kane will not be doing so again against Wolves on Sunday. Kane was hungry to score on Wednesday getting four shots off and pummeling the arm of Andy Lonergan on his goal. Kane has missed a few over the last couple of weeks that he would have thought to have scored. Hopefully those almost goals start to go in again and Spurs will be rocking and rolling.

Heung-Min Son (LW)

After being on fire early in the season as the beneficiary of some nice passing and movement from Harry Kane, defenses have been adjusting some and working to prevent Heung-Min Son from picking up the ball in open space. Wolves will play an aggressive brand of football against Son, looking to get under his skin and get him off his feet. With the right passing and timing, this could be a big day for the South Korean as he can slice up Willy Boly who is going to look to be aggressive and physical with Son. Should be a big match-up for both sides as it is a classic pace versus power matchup.
