Tottenham Forwards

Harry Kane seemed to be playing by himself most of the afternoon as Giovani Lo Celso looked lost and Heung-Min Son could not get on the end of the ball. Kane pushed all afternoon, but often seemed alone as everyone was waiting for something to happen.

Heung-Min Son – 6.5

Son Heung-Min had the best chance of the afternoon for Tottenham, but Schmeichel came up with a big save. That second half back-post effort was one of the two shots Son had on the day. While stats will say Son had three key passes, those were all corner kicks. Had a good chance in the first half but sent a pass across the box instead of shooting himself. The ball is not falling for Son the way it was just a few weeks ago.

Harry Kane – 7

Harry Kane ran hard all afternoon and looked like he might be the one to score. Unable once again to get over another header on a corner kick. May feel a bit hard done on a free kick that was deflected with an elbow but did not seem to get a real VAR check. Fought hard in the air, led the team in shots, but really seemed to be spending most of the afternoon fighting alone.

Giovani Lo Celso – 5

Giovani Lo Celso was probably the worst Tottenham player on the pitch Sunday. Completely disinterested in playing right wing, Lo Celso neither pressed nor pushed back on defense. Was willing to slide tackle several times once moved more centrally, but never really got going. Seemed to hurt a muscle doing nothing, a bad sign for a player who finally seemed to be getting into shape. Just a disappointing performance on every level.
