Parrott Plays a Little

After getting over an hour in six out of seven matches, Troy Parrott has only played 17 minutes in the last two games for Millwall. Parrott was an unused substitute midweek as Millwall got a much-needed win over Bristol City 0-2. Then on Saturday Parrott came in and played the last 17 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The young Republic of Ireland international managed 16 touches in his 17 minutes and completed 8 of his 10 passes. Parrott came on and played in the #10 role for goal scorer Tom Bradshaw as Millwall was searching for a winning goal. At this point in his career every minute counts as Parrott gets is more experience for the young man, although more consistency in position and playing time would be nice.

Sessegnon Scores Winner for Hoffenheim

Like Oliver Skipp at Norwich, Ryan Sessegnon has been getting consistent minutes for more than a month now at Hoffenheim. Also, like Skipp, Sessegnon is often deployed in the left back position within a 4-2-3-1 set-up which somewhat mimics what Tottenham run under José Mourinho. Saturday brought a big moment for Sessegnon in his growth at Hoffenheim as he scored the late game winner in Bundesliga action.

In the 86th minute as Hoffenheim was attacking the cross went over everyone to the back left post where Ryan Sessegnon was able to control the ball and poke it past the keeper for the game winner. The goal was not the only story for Sessegnon who completed 85% of his 34 passes. Ryan was also good defensively as he was only dribbled past just once and managed a couple interceptions and a clearance.

The big news from the Hoffenheim match was Marcus Thurman from Borussia Gladbach who spit on someone and received the yellow card. However, as a Spurs fan the only thing, we are worried about is Sessegnon and he seems to be doing simply fine on his own, which should be good news to Tottenham fans.
