Other Tottenham Players on Loan

Juan Foyth got off to a promising start on loan for Villareal, scoring and assisting in his debut. However, Foyth has gotten injured and the Argentine has not played a single minute in November. This is bad news for the young defender as injuries were part of the issue with him getting on the field at Tottenham, so we must hope this muscle injury is not long term.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has been on loan at Championship club Bournemouth since September but has yet to feature. Originally injured and having fitness issues, the American defender has simply been left out of the last two squads. Long on promise, but short on experience, time may be running out on Carter-Vickers at Spurs.

The rest of the Spurs out on loan are all part of the U-23 set-up. Of the group of Timothy Eyoma continues to have the best loan experience. Eyoma has played in 18 of 19 possible matches for Lincoln City and has amassed nearly 1600 minutes. Most of the minutes for Eyoma have come at right back, which is something for Spurs to keep an eye one over the next year or two given the age of both Doherty and Aurier.

Unlike Eyoma, the rest of the group are having a tougher time on loan. Jack Roles has made only 4 appearances for less than 160 minutes for Burton Albion and Joshua Oluwayemi has only played 10 minutes as the back-up keeper at Maidenhead United. Youth strikers Kaziah Sterling and Shilow Tracey have both had up and down experiences on their loans at Southend United and Shrewsbury.

Sterling has appeared 14 times and scored two goals in all competitions for Southend United, however, he has only played for 1 minute in each of his last three appearances. For Tracey, he had the thrill of his first professional hat-trick a couple weeks back but has only had one opportunity since then playing a scoreless 83 minutes versus Swindon Town.

Loans can be tricky things, but we know if you are not playing you are not improving, so at least many of the big names are playing for their respective loan clubs, let us hope that continues and for those not playing the time comes soon.
