What Tottenham Hotspur players are saying on Twitter
By Gary Pearson
With bundles of spare time on their hands, Tottenham players are taking to Twitter more frequently. Here’s what some have said recently.
Harry Kane
Harry Kane praises and pays homage to Daisy Hall, whose nephew and others helped make 207 dinners – the amount of combined goals Kane has scored for England and Tottenham – for NHS staff. Kane being Kane. He is without a doubt one of the most upstanding, genuine human beings you’ll come across in professional sports.
Dele Alli
Dele Alli is utilizing his spare time well during the crisis. The England midfielder is currently supporting Magic Breakfast, a charity trying to stamp out hunger in UK school systems.
Jan Vertonghen
Jan Vertonghen is pretty active on Twitter these days. He’s even recommending some of his favourite board games to pass the time. The subsequent tweet is more opinionated, as Jan speaks candidly about anyone who disrespects first responders and health care workers. That’s what I call using a powerful voice for the right reasons. Well done Jan!
Giovani Lo Celso
Our diminutive Argentinian shows a picture of his home gym in the first tweet, highlighting where he’s spending a chunk of time. The second tweet shows Giovani’s slick finish in a Europa League game during his time with Benfica, before joining Spurs.
Lucas Moura
Lucas Moura, like so many of his colleagues and citizens around the globe, pays tribute to the real heroes, health care workers and other first responders. All class, Lucas.
