Many Tottenham’s player Twitter accounts are either dormant or inactive, an unsurprising discovery considering the team’s current situation.
Some players, including the likes of Serge Aurier and Eric Dier haven’t tweeted in ages, while other’s accounts have become quiet recently. It’s probably a sound decision to stay off of social network during times of strife. Twitter can be incredibly unforgiving and at times downright hostile.
@AlderweireldTob, @HKane, @locelsogiovani are three of the most active Spurs on Twitter, though Lo Celso’s tweets in Spanish. Fortunately there is a translate button on Twitter.
Toby Alderweireld’s birthday
@Spursofficial wished Toby a happy birthday a couple of days back. Toby turned 31 on March 2. The stalwart is usually pretty active on Twitter, but has recently taken a step back from the social media platform. Let’s hope Toby stays with us for another few seasons, as he’s the most experienced and stable centre back on the books. And he’s a good cheerleader on Twitter, too.

Giovani Lo Celso’s motivating words
Lo Celso’s words might be straight forward, but they definitely have a motivating and inspiring ring to them. These words have even more meaning for Spurs supporters, who are struggling with the team’s recent poor form. We can all take something from the Argentinian’s upbeat positivity.

Harry Kane wishing Greaves a happy birthday
The injured talisman is one of Spurs’ most active players on Twitter. He recently tweeted about Jimmy Greaves’ birthday, wishing the legend all the best for his big day. What a memorable moment that was. Heartwarming stuff.
Happy birthday to @jimmy_greaves ! An honour to have presented his granddaughter and son with a gift at the game last night. Not the result we wanted but it’s only half time #COYS pic.twitter.com/UFJSqYVL65
