2. Dele Alli

Like Tottenham’s season, Dele Alli has been up and down like a yo yo. Sometimes infuriating to watch, the enigmatic Dele also has the propensity to dazzle. The talented Englishman has seven goals and three assists in 18 Premier League appearances.

Moments of utter absurdity – his flick from the ground against West Ham and nutmeg/back heel against Southampton in the FA Cup – are augmented by his ability to single-handedly carry Spurs to victory.

With Dele you might not always get a model of consistency. But what you do get you can’t replace, nor can you emulate. He is a wondrous talent who at any moment can make a team pay, whether via an instinctual finish or a cheeky, outlandish setup.
