Son Heung-Min 6/10
Hasn’t returned to his sharpest since returning from injury. Hopefully his close-range winner will inject the confidence he needs to be at his best. Son has lately, and uncharacteristically, been wasteful with his chances. He’s still an unsettling presence for defenders and will come good again soon. And he got the desperately needed winner so all is forgiven.
Dele Alli 8/10
Dele endured some tough spells in this match. He wasn’t brilliant throughout but did what he is paid to. He scored the opener in quintessentially Dele fashion and assisted on Son’s winner, albeit fortuitously. We needed badly those two moments, which he provided.
Lucas Moura 6/10
Lucas was average against Norwich. A single excellent through pass to Son headlined the Brazilian’s outing. Overall he made three key passes but failed to get a shot on target. I still feel Son would be better suited as the lone front man, as Moura does not hold the ball up well.
Eric Dier 5/10
At one stage Eric Dier spun around so much he almost confused himself. It was dizzying to watch so I’m sure it took him a moment to regain his focus and composure. Not much to say about Eric’s performance. He made a few key defensive headers but, for the most part, was average.
Christian Eriksen 4/10
According to WhoScored.com, the Dane made one key pass. But he had difficulty dictating play and made a few horrendous decisions. He also had an attempt on target that was deflected wide. Everyone’s wondering when his last performance will be for the Lilywhites.
