Moura and Aurier shine for Tottenham: Player ratings against Boro

Serge Aurier 8/10
Aurier’s Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde act maddeningly continues. Rebounding from an abject performance against Southampton, Aurier was actually one of Spurs’ best performers. Sure, he skied a sitter late that would have secured a win for the away side, but by now we shouldn’t expect much else from him in front of goal. He assisted on Tottenham’s only goal, had nine crosses, two key passes, two shots, 95 touches (tied for most with Dier), won two aerial duels to go along with three tackles. What an action-packed day!
Ryan Sessegnon 5/10
Ryan needs to be more assertive. He could have scored at the end of the first half from yet another Aurier cross, but pulled out of the challenge, either afraid of the inevitable collision or unconfident in his ability to finish. I think it’s the former. The youngster will learn. We have to be patient with him.
Christian Eriksen 5/10
He wasn’t a ghost, nor did he dominate the match. You’d expect him to dominate against a Championship side, but it wasn’t all bad from Christian. He made a few really good passes and had one shot on target.
