1. Dele Alli — Signed February 2, 2015

Keeping Son out of the top spot says all you need to know about Dele Alli. Bought for a measly £6.63 million just over four years ago, Alli is now worth a reported £90 million on the open market. His statistics are just as staggering: Alli, in 2016-17, was unquestionably the top flight’s most valuable midfielder. In his first 63 appearances with Spurs, Alli either scored or assisted on 40 goals, equalling the total contribution of Frank Lampard (15), Steven Gerrard (13) and David Beckham (12) combined.

While it’s true that Dele endured a dip in form last season, he is irrefutably Pochettino’s most valuable and important signing. It feels like Dele, who is still only 23 years of age, has been around forever.

He will surely improve personally in the coming seasons, and hopefully will propel the club to uncharted heights that goes hand in hand with winning silverware.
