1. Ryan Sessegnon – Fulham

The Fulham winger is well and truly in Pochettino’s crosshairs, and for good reason. Sessegnon’s  inaugural season in the Premier League was blighted by inconsistency. The frustrating campaign was a stark contrast from the previous season in which Sessegnon was the primary reason for Fulham’s promotion into the top flight.

While Sessegnon had trouble dominating top-flight defenders during Fulham’s relegation season, his dip in form was more a byproduct of the way his team underperformed. Also, Sessegnon only turned 19 today. The teenager still managed to contribute to eight of Fulham’s goals (two goals, and six helpers), equating to 23 percent of the club’s 34 league goals. Not bad for a teenager.

Pochettino would love to get his hands on the youngster, as Sessengon’s tender age will allow the gaffer to contour, mentor and instil the young Englishman with the mature, professional, hard-working mentality his players are known for.

While Spurs haven’t yet made an official bid for Sessegnon, expect the club to make one after the showcase match on June 1. Reports suggest Sessegnon also prefers Tottenham to other potential suitors, so this is the player Spurs need to sign to get the proverbial ball rolling. He might cost about £40 million, but Sessegnon will, under Pochettino’s mentorship, be worth way more than that in a few short seasons.
