Tottenham Hotspur gain a massive 3 points at Goodison Park against Everton. Spurs attack was highly effective and produced a 2-6 scoreline.

There was so much back and forth early on that either team could have scored first. Everton opened the scoring with a close shot from ex-Gunner Theo Walcott. He celebrated as if it was the match-winning goal. When you are playing against Tottenham, any goal is big.

It didn’t take long for Spurs to respond. This came in the form of a Heung-Min Son strike. It was into an open net but the angle was a difficult one. This opened the Tottenham flood-gates as the half ended 1-3 with additional goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Very soon after the second half whistle, Christian Eriksen got in on the action. He made an exquisitely accurate goal off of a clearance from outside the box. There were so many goals in this game that it is hard to choose your favorite. Eriksen’s seemed the most impressive.

Sigurdsson helped the Toffees get one back with a goal that hit Lloris’ glove on the way in. Even so, Tottenham never took the foot off the accelerator- they never parked the bus.

Ten minutes later, Heung-Min Son struck again. This goal also could have been the best of the match. Erik Lamela played Son through into the box and Son nutmegged Pickford to find the back of the net. The Korean showed some incredible finishing.

Tottenham weren’t done, though. Who else but Harry Kane would be there to put an exclamation mark on this magical match. Son was barreling down the left side of the pitch and passed the ball into the middle of the box. He found Kane and there was no doubt he would put it in for his second goal.

This electric attack from Tottenham ended the match 2-6. Two players scored two goals each (Kane and Son), which spells good things as Spurs chase down Liverpool and Manchester City.

Spurs are still in 3rd place but are making up a lot of ground. As it stands, Spurs are 2 points behind Man City and 6 behind Liverpool. They also have a comfortable lead of 5 points over 4th place Chelsea.
