Described by former England midfielder Frank Lampard this week as England’s only “superstar” heading into the World Cup in Russia, there was never any doubt of our leading man’s inclusion in the England squad.

However, there was a time not so long ago where Kane sustained an ankle injury, and the country held their breath. Alas, all is now well, and the main thing we can now wish for is that Kane is granted the England captaincy.
