Now with the transfer window’s imminent arrival begin the trials and tribulations of where the young Frenchman might be playing his football next season.

It’s been a season to forget for Martial; since United’s signing of Alexis Sanchez in January the youngster hasn’t been given the game time some would argue he thoroughly deserves.

However, his lack of game time shouldn’t be a concern for Spurs, Martial’s talent can be appreciated by any fan of football, and there’s no better time for Pochettino to make a move for the unsettled striker.

Martial is the type of talent who could push Tottenham to start bringing silverware in and at 22 years of age, he certainly has time on his side to become one of the Premier League’s best forwards.

The Frenchman has the quality to fit in anywhere along the Spurs frontline, and the promise of first-team football could prove to be the crucial pulling factor Pochettino needs to convince Martial away from Manchester.

The perfect fit for Spurs? Well, Martial undoubtedly fits the mould of the kind of player Pochettino loves to nurture into one of the leagues best and the thought of him linking up top with Harry Kane is a mouthwatering prospect.
