It’s been an anticlimactic end to the season, to say the least, and Spurs have failed to pick up any silverware for the fourth straight year of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign as manager.

Nevertheless, a place in the coveted top four is almost a certainty, and there is much to be positive about heading into the 2018/19 Premier League season.

However, to start winning trophies and to compete with the very best, there are some areas for improvement which can be made over the summer transfer window.

With all that said, here are five realistic summer signings who can take Tottenham to the next level:
