3. Roberto Soldado (£30million)
When Soldado came to North-London in 2013, he brought with him a vast La Liga reputation for being a prolific striker- which he was. However, Soldado will go down in history as one of the most under-whelming Spurs signings of the modern era. 16 goals in 79 appearances just weren’t enough.
