9. Vincent Janssen (£22.1million)
Just beating David to the number nine spot on Tottenham’s all-time most expensive signings list is centre-forward, Vincent Janssen. Again Janssen came to North-London with great hope and expectations back in 2016 after an impressive season in the Dutch top-flight with AZ Alkmaar.

39 appearances and six goals later, however, Janssen didn’t do enough to budge Harry Kane off his pedestal and has subsequently been loaned out twice to Turkish side Fernabache.
