“He plays the way I want to play”: Spurs target wants to emulate Harry Kane

18-year-old Jann-Fiete Arp has shone this season in the Bundesliga and is being widely praised above and beyond the German top-tier for a bright future.
He played a vital part in Germany’s under-17 World Cup campaign netting five times for the youngsters who reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
And reports are now suggesting that the Hamburg wonder-kid is being closely pursued by Tottenham, with the German youngster admittedly idolising Spurs’ talisman Harry Kane.

The youngster spoke to Uefa’s official website and highlighted his admiration for Harry Kane:
“He’s pacy and very comfortable with and without the ball. It’s difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time.”
Furthermore, the Hamburg striker suggested that Kane’s style of play is one he wants to emulate in his career, “He plays the way I want to play”.
Arp may just be about to get an opportunity first-hand to learn all of Kane’s tricks with Spurs keen on bringing him to North-London in the summer when the transfer window re-opens.

The German forward is one of the first products of Hamburg’s new academy system coming to fruition and is gaining a lot of attention from Germany’s most prominent clubs, in particular, Bayern Munich, so Spurs will have their work cut-out for them if they’re to bring him to the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the chance for Jann-Fiete Arp to play with his idol Harry Kane may prove pivotal in Tottenham’s pursuit of the young striker, and will undoubtedly be used as some pulling power in persuading him to join.
The 18-year-old certainly has a bright future ahead of him and has scored twice in 15 appearances so far this campaign for his boyhood club Hamburg.
It’s still unclear how much Spurs would have to fork out for the youngster, however, investing in some fresh, young and proven attacking talent would be certainly welcomed.
