Tottenham played 52 matches this term in all competitions, but the story of the season and the side’s progress can be summarized in ten wins.

Admittedly, all of these wins were played in the Premier League. However good Tottenham were in the English top flight, they either played weak competition in the domestic cups or wilted in the European tournaments.

Those caveats aside, this was a remarkable season for Mauricio Pochettino’s project at Spurs. He took over a team that leaked goals and couldn’t muster the strength to take on the league’s top teams. Within three seasons he was presiding over title contenders who scored the most and conceded the fewest goals in the entire league.

That such efforts still only yielded Tottenham second place is a testament to Chelsea’s quality, but it’s also as clear a sign as we could hope for that Pochettino’s methods have found traction. Spurs are going to build on their second place finish this season in the years to come, of that there is hardly a doubt.

That certainty is, in part, built upon the performances we are about to enumerate. These wins each mark a different milestone or embody a trend that set Tottenham apart from the competition. Perhaps they won’t all be remembered as classics, but they are the 900 minutes that best encompass Spurs’ historic season.
