Harry Kane: Tottenham Can Win the Premier League
Coming off of two impressive wins over Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion, Tottenham striker Harry Kane believes that this squad is capable of lifting the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.
Usually it seems taboo to mention the words “title contenders” during the season, in hopes of not jinxing yourself before actually challenging for some silverware.
Or, ending your changes just when you actually get close to competing for a shot to win (see: Tottenham last season).
Though, when teams play as good as Spurs have done for the past month, winning six straight league games, the confidence to continue winning simply oozes out of the players and coaches.

To the point where you can’t help but talk about how you are a contender to challenge for the Premier League title.
Which is what Harry Kane believes is possible with Spurs’ current squad.
“Definitely [we can win the league], we came very close last year, that was a great experience to be part [a] of, but I think we have gotten better as a team and grown as a team, and we can hopefully use that experience to help us this year.” Kane said at a Nike event in Germany on Monday (streamed live on Sky Sports).
“We are in great form, high on confidence, so if we continue that there is no reason why we cannot win it.”
The form that Kane is alluding to includes the aforementioned wins over Chelsea and West Brom.
When Mauricio Pochettino switched from his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation to a 3-4-3 system, what followed wasn’t just a simple change of tactics. But how the players have all raised their levels to where everything is flowing very seamlessly.

Against the likes of Hull City, Watford, Chelsea and West Brom, Tottenham have outscored all four teams by an aggregate score of 13 to one, and dominating them handedly in the process.
While Spurs have won games using a 4-2-3-1 and looked good, they are looking unstoppable in a 3-4-3.
Some scintillating performances that haven’t been seen in quite some time.
All of which is to say that Spurs aren’t just playing some of their best football lately, but that they are one of at least three teams to compete for the title come May. Along with Chelsea and Liverpool.
What was once a 10-point gap between the Blues and Spurs, when the north London club were sitting in fifth place before they began their current unbeaten run, has now dropped to seven points and occupying second in the league table.
That three point difference is massive after 21 Premier League matches have been played with only 17 games remaining in the final four months.
For everyone involved with Tottenham (players, coaches, the front office and supporters), beating Chelsea is what has given this Spurs team a massive confidence booster as they look to continue their winning streak against Manchester City this Saturday.
So it’s not far-fetched to think that Spurs do in fact belong in the conversation as title challengers after the work they have done since mid-December.
Harry Kane isn’t wrong in that, if Spurs can maintain the same high level and intensity they have displayed in recent weeks, a league title is indeed possible. Because at the moment they look unbeatable.

“Obviously Chelsea have been flying at the minute, they were on a great run of games, top of the league, and we were trying to catch them, so we knew it was an important game for us to try and win and get them three points and we have done that.” Kane added.
“So that gives us a lot of confidence going forward and now we know that if we play like that against anybody in the league, we should win.”
