Tottenham Striker, Kane, Tipped for Golden Boot in Euros
After winning the Premier League’s Golden Boot award with 25 goals, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has been tipped by former Spurs striker, Teddy Sheringham, to capture another Golden Boot award in this summer’s Euros.
With England set to begin their opening group stage match on Saturday against Russia, preparations have already begun with the Tottenham striker looking forward to playing in his first major tournament alongside his Spurs teammates and the rest of the Three Lions squad.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility for Harry Kane to claim another personal accolade by leading all players in the Euros with the most goals.
Two years playing for Mauricio Pochettino has seen the 22-year-old notch 59 goals in all competitions with back-to-back 20-plus goal seasons to show that he is a threat in front of net.
It’s why former Tottenham striker, Teddy Sheringham, believes Kane can be the first Englishman since Alan Shearer at Euro 1996, to win the Golden Boot award.
"“It’s amazing to hear things like that,” Harry Kane said (via Mirror).“Teddy was an idol of mine growing up through the way he played and the goals he scored.”“To hear him complimenting me like that only gives me more confidence. Going into the Euros, I need to believe that I can score goals.”“If I win the Golden Boot, then it would be a huge honour. But for me, it’s more about staying focused on what I need to do and what I have been doing all season.”“If I do, hopefully the rewards will be there. I don’t try to put any pressure on myself. I’ve worked too hard to get this far.”“This is where I want to be and this is where I want to stay.”"

Alongside Harry Kane starting up top in Roy Hodgson’s squad against Russia will be Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy who was runner-up to the Tottenham forward in last term’s Premier League Golden Boot standings with 24 goals.
Combined, the two strikers bagged a total of 49 goals between them and it’s down to hard work and perseverance that got both players to where they are today since they were teammates struggling to make it onto the Foxes’ first team from the bench.
"“It just goes to show that you can never stop working hard and should never give up,” Kane added (via ESPN FC). “At the time, me and Jamie couldn’t even get in the Leicester team.”“Since then we have both knuckled down. We carried on working hard and believed in ourselves. You only have to see where we are now.”“I think it’s great for other young players coming through the system. When times are down, keep believing, keep working hard and things will pick up.”“You want young players to believe that — just as I did.”"

To be widely tipped by many, including his idol Teddy Sheringham, to win the Golden Boot award for the first time since Alan Shearer in Euro 1996, Harry Kane would need to be on the top of his game which goes without saying.
Standing in front of the Tottenham striker is getting good service up top to score and the fact that the past 20 years which saw five European Championships being played yielded no Englishman winning the Golden Boot.
At the very least, Harry Kane has shown that he can succeed when the odds are stacked against him. Something he did in spectacular fashion this past season in the Premier League with 25 goals.
