Ferdinand was admittedly much more prolific with Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle, though his time with Tottenham was far from a waste. Blighted by injury, his first season still managed to become something of a success after a late surge with striking partner Jürgen Klinsmann that saved more than few blushes at Tottenham. He later proved to be a key component of the club’s successful League Cup campaign and runs for other non-title trophies in the early ’00s.
