Stats: 48 appearances, 8 goals, 3 assists, 12 yellow cards, 2 red cards

Tottenham hasn’t always fielded stand out left-backs, the current team’s Danny Rose and Ben Davies being two notable exceptions. There was a time, though, back at the beginning of the century, where the club could make a case that Ziege was the best in the league. He wasn’t necessary the all-in-one style full-back so many teams shoot for these days, but he was an exceptional dead ball player. Five goals in a season – as Ziege managed in his first year with the club – is pretty outstanding for a left-back.
