Venue: King Power Stadium
Goalscorers:
— Leicester City: Leonardo Ulloa (48′)
— Tottenham: Harry Kane (1′), Christian Eriksen (71′)

Anytime you concede a goal in the first minute, chances are you’re not going to recover. Especially when it happens to be Harry Kane’s 15th goal of the season to continue his impressive form and add more credence to the fact that he is the next big England star to take notice of.

Now while Leonardo Ulloa happened to equalize the game three minutes into the second half, Christian Eriksen’s 71st minute goal put the game on ice by that point and Spurs just needed to hold on for the win.

Just a year ago Leicester City were sitting at 20th in the Premier League table, going on an unprecedented run of 13 games without a win.  Tottenham would be the 13th and final game before Leicester would go on a brief three-game unbeaten streak.

Unfortunately, the Foxes would suffer another long winless streak, this time lasting eight games. But near the end of the season Leicester City finally got on another run and would finish the season in 14th place to escape relegation. They would only become the third team to survive after being bottom of the table heading into the Christmas period. A year ago, Sunderland pulled it off, this time it was Leicester.

To win seven out of your last nine games, the other two results were a loss and a draw, shows how much heart, determination and fight that Leicester City had. And this form from a year ago is something that has helped propel Leicester City to the top of the table this season. A possible Premier League title can be won if they can hold on.
