Interestingly enough, this fixture will happen tomorrow on Boxing Day once again. But instead of traveling to Carrow Road, Tottenham will be the hosts and Norwich will be the visitors. But back to this game.

Another season with Harry Redknapp saw Tottenham once again contending for the Premier League title and this win over Norwich City from Gareth Bale’s brace helped propel Spurs into third place, just seven points behind the league leaders Manchester City and Manchester United, both of which had 45 points each.

Tottenham would also be four points ahead of Chelsea and five ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand over all of four clubs. Unfortunately, just like the previous season, Spurs didn’t win the Premier League title. They did however finish fourth which was better than their fifth-placed finish a year ago.

It’s a shame that Tottenham missed out on the Champions League again because Chelsea won the competition’s final against Bayern Munich on May 19, 2012.
