No list of Tottenham goals from this era is going to exclude Rafael van der Vaart. The Dutchman was signed on the last day of the 2010 summer transfer window and went on a tear at Tottenham that lasted two seasons.

Van der Vaart was a vital part of Harry Redknapp’s system at the club, often playing little man to Peter Crouch’s big man. Talented from almost any angle, with his head or his feet, he was precisely the type of player Tottenham needed then. It’s a shame the Dutch international left as early as he did.
