Here’s the late morning Tottenham Hotspur news.

Today is Thursday night football, that means it’s another Europa League fixture coming up. Tottenham host R.S.C. Anderlecht on matchday four, the halfway point in the group stage of the Europa League. If Spurs win, they could secure one of the top two spots to move onto the Round of 32. So let’s get to the links below.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said that Tottenham can beat Arsenal in this upcoming north London derby (the second of the season, but first meeting in the Premier League this year)

“Last night’s game against Bayern Munich was much more intensive than Spurs’ match against Anderlecht will be. Arsenal couldn’t rest anyone and got back to London in the early hours of this morning, which is never ideal. Spurs are playing an average team tonight. They could make six changes and still probably win. There is no comparison between the magnitude of the games and Arsenal have to recover their confidence after a heavy defeat.”

Arsenal losing to Bayern Munich in a lopsided 5-1 game yesterday is what has prompted Harry Redknapp to make this prediction. In this same article, he also predicts a top four finish for Tottenham because Chelsea are currently struggling to find their form in the Premier League.

The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) Player of the Year is an award ceremony that highlights each player’s role for their team this season. Roles that are deemed important after three months have now gone by in the Premier League. Voting is done by the fans which is a special event for people to choose who they want to win the award.

Harry Kane who has scored five goals this season after a difficult start (goal scoring wise) is just one nomination and he’s going against Arsenal striker Alexis Sánchez, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, Everton defender John Stones, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero, last year’s winner.

It’s almost rare nowadays to see Tottenham looking to take a player on loan, but this latest transfer rumor thinks it’s a possibility. The last known player — big name player at the time — who arrived to Tottenham on a loan deal was Emmanuel Adebayor.

Spurs usually buy players instead. If they were looking for loan moves, it’s for one of their own players to go out for first team experience.

With that being said, if this is only a loan, it can’t be that bad for a 30-year-old former Premier League striker and champion with Manchester City during the 2013-14 season when the Spanish striker scored 23 goals. It’s worth a look if Mauricio Pochettino thinks that it will benefit the club.

The basis for this move between Tottenham and Crystal Palace centers on the belief that Spurs are still interested in Yannick Bolasie. Which isn’t bad, but technically speaking Clinton N’Jie could already fill the pacey winger role that Bolasie would bring. Creativity wise, they’re more or less the same, but N’Jie is settling into Mauricio Pochettino’s offense. Yannick Bolasie will take a while to get acclimated if he comes in January, in a player plus cash swap deal involving Andros Townsend.
