This is good news for Tottenham as the Club will have Heung-Min Son back for a possible appearance or start against R.S.C. Anderlecht on Thursday night. Nabil Bentaleb, while not match fit yet, has time to recover during the international break. Danny Rose and Clinton N’Jie being doubtful hurts Spurs’ depth until after the Arsenal game. However Mauricio Pochettino was quoted as saying that Clinton N’Jie picked up a minor knock on his hamstring which London24 has transcribed.

“Clinton has a small issue with his hamstring,” said Pochettino. “Maybe for Arsenal [on Sunday] he will be available to be selected.”

Tottenham always have to keep proving themselves against every single opponent they face. It’s a way to test themselves and show that they need to be taken seriously says Toby Alderweireld.

“We have to win at home,” insists Alderweireld. “We have to show them who we are and we need to show our supporters at White Hart Lane that we can get three points and take a big step towards the next round.

We were angry after the game in Brussels so we want to prove ourselves again. We let ourselves down over there and Thursday is a good opportunity to put that right and show how good we are.

Everybody knows that we have a good squad but we have to prove that every game and Thursday is our next one.”

This past Sunday in the FA Women’s Premier League, Spurs Ladies drew 0-0 against Coventry United. It was an offensive assault for Spurs as they were able to rack up over 20 shots on target, but were denied as Coventry goalkeeper Sue Wood put in a phenomenal shift.

Here’s Spurs Ladies manager Karen Hills during her post-match interview:

“The first half was even but we dominated the second half. We ended up with 22 efforts at goal, we just couldn’t get that elusive goal. We did everything right. We always knew it would be a tough game but with the chances we had, we’re disappointed not to take the three points. But there were lots of positives for us.”

Spurs travel to Queens Park Rangers  in the FA Women’s Premier League on Sunday at 2:00 PM (GMT) local time.
