Conversation Corner: Tottenham Hotspur’s Post-match Interviews after A.F.C. Bournemouth Win in the Premier League
Eric Dier:
Spurs TV: Eric’s here. Eric well done today, excellent performance, 5-1 win. What did you make of it?
Eric Dier: Yeah I think, you know, the boys did really well. Obviously disappointing with us five minutes. I think, you know, we weren’t switched on and conceded a sloppy goal. But from then on, we did really well. We got back into the game quickly and then killed the game off which is really important.
STV: Now we got you in front of the camera again because you came out and spoke to us after Anderlecht, which was disappointing and we know that. How important, therefore — and it’s good to speak to you again — was it to put it right today?
ED: Yeah definitely, you know I think everyone wanted to put it right and everyone wanted to — when we were ahead — everyone wanted to kill the game and that’s what we didn’t do against Anderlecht and we paid for it. So we’ve learned our lesson and we proved that today.
STV: It showed because once you knew that was coming what was everyone thinking about, being a goal down in 48 seconds by the way?
ED: Yeah it was a bit — we were disappointed you know, we should start better than that. Especially away from home where we know the other team is going to come out firing, so to get back into the game straight away was great. And then obviously we just knew we had to kill it and get as many goals as possible.
STV: Yeah we’re clinical today weren’t we and leading that was a certain Mr. Harry Kane.
ED: Yeah no, it was great for him. You know it’s great for him to get a hat-trick and everyone is really pleased for him and hopefully now he could keep going and get many more.

STV: He doesn’t give a lot away, but I mean has it been getting to him? Have you noticed it, because he got 31 last year and one so far this year? It would do wouldn’t it I suppose?
ED: No. Yeah, maybe … maybe it was for him but I didn’t miss anything. He keeps working the same way, you know, and that’s the most important thing. Kept working hard and kept doing all the same things he did before. And I think everyone knew they’d start coming again, you know, if you keep working the same way that’s what will happen and that’s what he’s done.
STV: And that’s nine unbeaten in the Premier League, consistency isn’t it?
ED: Yeah no, that’s great. You know hopefully we could keep going now and keep this unbeaten run going and turn a couple more draws into wins, you know, and kill games off.
STV: Eric, well done, thank you.
ED: Thank you. Cheers boss.
Lastly, here’s the Man of the Match winner, Tottenham striker: Harry Kane.
