Tottenham Hotspur is here to discuss their thoughts leading up to the game against A.F.C. Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.

A Premier League fixture against A.F.C. Bournemouth on the road will be the final game in the month of October. Whatever happens will now see the 2015-16 season reach its fourth month out of ten in total. This also means that teams are now just two months away from the January transfer window opening. Bournemouth currently sit at 17th in the Premier League table with just one win in their last six league games. However, this team under Eddie Howe’s guidance will prove to be a difficult match.

Here’s Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino:

Spurs TV: So Mauricio we got Bournemouth away on Sunday, back to Premier League action. What are your thoughts going into that game?

Mauricio Pochettino: Yes we need learn from today [Thursday], and we need to take Bournemouth because they are a very good team. They are a very aggressive team — run a lot — and it’s a very very good team. And we need to start winning games in the Premier League to stay atop the table. But tonight [again, Thursday] is a difficult moment but we need to be positive and learn about this game [loss to Anderlecht].

STV: Bournemouth have had some difficult games in the last few weeks. How tough is it going to be to play against them? They’re going to be looking to return to winning themselves aren’t they?

MP: I think that we need to be focusing on us. Because today was a clear clear example. We need to be focused in our performance and the way that we play and be aggressive and work 100 percent. Always focused on during every single minute and today was a good example. It’s not important the opponent, it’s important how we play and how we are on the pitch.

STV: How tough is it to play away from home in a game like that on Sunday?

MP: Yes, you know, but for us it is the same, we need to win. We are Tottenham. And Tottenham always need to win the games. And one of the concerns is to play well and try to get the three points.

STV: They’ve recently been promoted does that make them a more difficult team to play because we haven’t played them in the last few seasons?

MP: Every every every team is difficult to play against them. Bournemouth is the same and another Premier League team. And we expect a very tough game.

STV: How tough is it to play against a side that’s newly promoted?

DA: Yeah you know it’s not going to be easy, you know they’re a great team. They’ve got a lot of strengths and so have we. So hopefully we’re just going to go there, play our own game and just to see what we can do to and hopefully get three points.

STV: Obviously no disrespect to them, they’ve struggled a little bit in recent weeks after a good start to life in the Premier League. How difficult is it going to be be to go there and obviously play them when they’re looking to respond?

DA: Yeah you know we’re going to their patch and they’re not going to make it easy for us. We know we’re going to have to fight for the three points. But you know I think we are a great team at the minute and just going to work as hard as we can and yeah there’s no easy games this season in the Premier League and hopefully we can get the three points like I said.

STV: How important is it to be bounce back from Thursday’s defeat against Anderlecht as well?

DA: Oh yeah you know a lot of the boys are disappointed from that. But I think it is important that we pick ourselves up and you know move on, we keep working it on training and just take the positives from the game and work on the negatives and we’ll be fine.

Regardless of Bourenmouth’s recent slump in the Premier League, no games are easy even if it’s against a newly promoted side. Sunday’s game doesn’t have to start off as fast as it did against Anderlecht, but when Tottenham has a chance, or multiple chances in front of them, they have to put it away. The scoreline doesn’t matter, so long as Spurs have a solid game overall and end October with a win and three points..
