It’s looking more and more like players leave comments after wins rather than draws or losses. Of course these are Twitter comments that Tottenham’s official Twitter account retweets, which is easier than actively trying to search all 25 players’ thoughts when some might not have an account. So therefore, there are no comments once again, meaning we’ll head straight into the final thoughts section.

Final Thoughts:

Although Tottenham drew on Sunday, with a short week to practice and rest after a Thursday game against Monaco and having to come back twice, getting a point — salvaging — is a really good result. Heading into the second international break, Tottenham are sitting at 8th place in the league table. Following Spurs’ winless August, being eight is the best result that Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham could have wanted.

With one week of planning to do and rest for some of Tottenham’s injured players (Ryan Mason, Heung-Min Son, Alex Pritchard, Danny Rose) this could be helpful in getting them all back in time for a home game versus Liverpool. If some or none are fully fit yet, at the very least some players have time to recover after a busy September.
